Big Cat Habitat

At Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary, you can experience the wonder of large exotic animals in a safe and caring environment. Founded in 1987 by Kay Rosaire, the non-profit sanctuary has been providing a permanent home to dozens of rescued animals ever since. With a focus on education and conservation, Big Cat Habitat also works to raise awareness about animal care and preservation.

All income generated by admission goes directly to the feeding and care of the animals, making this sanctuary a true labour of love. The dedication of the staff and volunteers is evident in the expansive indoor/outdoor housing complexes that provide the animals with plenty of space and enrichment activities to maintain their physical and mental health.

With three large housing complexes and adjoining exercise habitats, there is always something new to see at Big Cat Habitat. Each habitat is equipped with a swimming pool, toys, and palm trees to provide the animals with an optimal environment.
