The story of Geier's Sausage Kitchen begins over 90 years ago in the small town of Selb, Germany. Working under his father's watchful eye, Karl Geier started as an apprentice butcher and sausage maker in the family butcher shop. Determined to grow in his craft he received his Master Sausage Maker Diploma, a.k.a. "Metzgermeister Brief", under the strict rules of the German Sausage Maker's Guild.

Skip ahead to the early 1960's, when Karl Geier and his wife Gisa moved permanently to the United States. Settling down in Michigan, Karl ran the operations of a large German sausage company. With her husband busy at work, Gisa Geier was a woman before her time running the retail side of the business. The knowledge they learned during the next 15 years would help equip them on the next step. Moving to Florida!! In the early 1980's the Geier Family moved to Sarasota Florida, opening the first state side location of "Geier's Sausage Kitchen". Now with 3 generations working under one roof we are happy to say we are still a stable in our local community.

Geier'scommitment to quality is far above the norm for the industry. Karl's personal belief is to use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients in all of our products. This sets Geier's way above most of the other companies. His all around knowledge and commitment to quality in the meat and sausage business in second to none. This, along with traditional recipes, some dating back over 100 years, makes Geier's Sausage Kitchen one of the finest European Sausage Kitchens in the world.
